WTO STILL RETAINS NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA AS OTHER REMOVED~details below
The WTO world trade organization has
omitted three candidates after screening as
Ngozi Okonjo Iweala still retains in the race.
According to the report source, the world
trade organization screened out three
candidates as the Director General of the Global trade group.
The listed omitted candidates were
Jesus Seade from Mexico,
Hamid Mamdouh from Egypt and Tudor Ulianovschi from Moldova
The General Council Chairman Mr David Walker of the WTO issued a statement on Friday that
“Their expertise and high professional and personal qualities are highly valued and respected by all members.”
The second phase of the consultation is said to begin on September 24th to October 6th after which the
WTO would announce two final candidates and a new leader emerge on November 7.
