Mrs Onochie Lauretta: I am madam due process and this is the reason behind my attacks~details below


Presidential aide Mrs Onochie Lauretta who appeared on the floor of the Senate Committee on INEC where she was screened for the position of national commissioner for the electoral seat.

But however her old tweet gone viral even after denying her allegiance to the  party All Progressive Congress (APC). 

But the old tweet proved that she had promoted and supported the party (APC) in 2020 even when she denied her effectiveness in partisan politics in 2019.

In 2020 president Muhammadu Buhari nominated her for the position that after m confirmation, she will represent Delta State and by clear clarification, the South-south geopolitical zone on the Commission.

But unfortunately, her nomination was regarded null and void and unconstitutional following the circumstances surrounding the her nomination.

A lot of Nigerians kicked against it and asked Mr president to withdraw her nomination on the grounds that Mrs Lauretta is still current and partisan and it is undemocratic for her to be appointed into such public office.

The Civil Society Organisations have also petitioned the Senate opposing Mrs Onochie’s appointment. While the main opposition party, PDP, also protested her nomination.

According Mrs Onochie Lauretta she inclined that she opt out of politics, and now described herself as “madam due process.”

In her statement she said “I have seen the petitions against me but I stand for justice and fairness. Though nobody has anything to fear.” 

“I am madam due process and this is the reason behind my attacks, because I follow the law and due process, she said”.
