Samuel Kayode: Vice-Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers ‘NURTW’ was shot dead at Agboju area of Lagos State~details below

Report said the gunshot was heard from the crowd outside, while the meeting was on, forcing residents involved at the rally to run to safety.

Samuel Kayode popularly known as ‘Ekpo’ who was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was at a rally organised by the party at Oriade Local Development Area when the gunmen hijacked the rally on Thursday and shot him dead.

Before those inside the hall could rushed down to the scene, Kayode was found on the ground in a pool of blood. 

According to Jimoh Buhari  Eyewitnesses the, “He was protecting a fellow politician from harassment when the gunmen shot him dead,” he said. 

The spokesman for the NURTW Chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, is yet to make a reaction to the dirty incident. Who see the incident as a great lose to the NURTW organization.
