According to report over one thousand (1,000) Boko Haram terrorist have surrendered to the Nigeria troops in operation Hadin Kai follows by two explosive experts, this was disclosed by the acting director of defence Bernard Onyeuko at the Development Commission on Friday.

Recall that few months back another 1’000 plus insurgents surrendered and just a week after, heavy attacks was launched at Zamfara state by the same group in Northern part of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, one Mr Musa had said that, those who surrendered included persons “conscripted against their wish”, adding that the latest development has affected the plans of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) to adopt Boko Haram members.
Musa further explained that, ISWAP has also set up a task force to stop insurgents from surrendering to the army.
However, the commander had applaud the president, chief of defence staff, and other other service chiefs for their efforts to bring insurgency in the country down to it’s knees.
He also commended the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for their part they played in the rehabilitation of the insurgents who surrendered recently.
Mohammed Alkali, the managing director of the commission, said the effective role of the military in restoring peace in the region has enabled the commission to embark on various projects in recovered areas.
“We know that if we have peace in the north-east, it will transcend to other regions.”
Muhammed Alkali had assured the military of continuous collaboration and support, and urged them to sustain the tempo and keep up the good job.
