President Bola Tinubu will address the Nigerian Army’s Operational Excellence Conference.
President Bola Tinubu will be the Special Guest of Honour at the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Annual Conference, according to an Army spokeswoman, Brig.-Gen. Oyenma Nwachukwu, the conference will be held from December 10 to 16 at the Command Guest House in Maiduguri, Borno State.
According to Nwachukwu, the week-long yearly event titled “Personnel Motivation for Effective Operational Performance in a Joint Environment” is significant in the Nigerian Army’s calendar due to its importance to national security, peace, and stability.
“It provides the Nigerian Army with an opportunity to take stock, evaluate, and comprehensively review the NA’s ongoing operational engagements in all theatres of operations across the six geopolitical zones this year,” he said.
In order to give the necessary advice on improving Nigerian Army operations and activities, the Conference would also give the COAS the chance to interact face-to-face with Field Commanders, General commanders Commanding, and other senior commanders. The conference will be formally opened on Monday, December 11, 2023.
Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd), a former chief of staff of the Army, was scheduled to deliver a presentation titled “Whole of Society Approach and Military Operations in Nigeria,” according to Nwachukwu.
