Albino Teacher Abducted: Fears of Ritualistic Motives

On Wednesday, March 6, suspected gunmen abducted Mr. Adegbenjo, a secondary school teacher at Community High School in Alabata, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State. The victim, who is an albino, was kidnapped while walking towards the school early in the morning on March 6.

Local residents are concerned that the abduction of an albino individual may be connected to ritualistic purposes. There exists a long-standing belief that albinos are valuable for attracting wealth, making them vulnerable to being used in money rituals.

Teachers at the school have urgently appealed to state security agencies to take swift action in rescuing their colleague before any harm befalls him.

As of now, the state police command has not issued any official statement regarding this incident.
