President Tinubu Condemns Abductions in Borno and Kaduna States
President Bola Tinubu strongly condemned the recent kidnappings in Borno and Kaduna States, which involved vulnerable victims like internally-displaced persons and students.
In a statement from his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu directed security agencies to quickly rescue the victims and ensure the perpetrators face justice.
“I got updates from security chiefs about these incidents, and I believe the victims will be rescued. Nothing less is acceptable to me and the families waiting for their loved ones. Justice will be served decisively,” stated President Tinubu.
Ngelale also expressed the President’s sympathy to the affected families, assuring them that efforts are underway to bring back their missing relatives.
Earlier, LIB reported that Boko Haram militants kidnapped numerous internally-displaced women in Ngala, Borno State, on Monday, March 4. Additionally, bandits abducted 187 secondary school students and 125 primary school students from LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School in Kuriga, Kaduna State, on Thursday, March 7.
