Kobe Bryant’s emotional last love letter to wife Vanessa is opened on her birthday

Vanessa Bryant has opened the last love letter from her late husband Kobe Bryant on her 38th birthday.

The emotional message from the NBA star, who was tragically killed in a helicopter crash, was addressed to ‘the love of my life’.

Vanessa shared a pic of the note, which was tucked inside a yellow envelope, with her 14.1 million Instagram followers.

The former LA Lakers legend died alongside teenage daughter Gianna and Vanessa had been keeping the letter to mark her birthday on May 5.

Captioning a pic of the letter on Instagram, Vanessa wrote: “Yesterday I found an envelope labeled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi.

“I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today.”

Vanessa continued: “The irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover.

“Missing the Love of my Life and my sweet little Mamacita – my fellow Taurus.”

Kobe and Gianna were among nine passengers who died in a helicopter crash in the Calabasas hills on January 26.
