Police warned native doctors over preparing charms for armed robbers and ritualists~details below

On Friday, the state police public Relation Officer (PPRO) DSP Loveth Odah made the statement during an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the state police in Abakaliki

DSP Loveth warned native doctors to stop the illegal provision of charms to criminals and ritualists who in turn inflict heavy mayhem on the society

She further noted that, the command was permitted to protect life and property that any native doctor found in the illicit act will be seriously dealt with and the same time  face law.

Following the report from (NAN) that the police had on April 30th discovered a decomposed two bodies of two young men in a Shallow grave at the Iduku-Igbudu forest in Agubia in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.

According to report the victims were said to be abducted and buried alive inside the forest by their abductors and two other native doctors who were apprehended by the police.

According to DSP Loveth Odah the victims were blindfolded while ropes were tied to their neck when their decomposed bodies were exhumed by the police.

“we went to the forest with experts and the bodies have been exhumed and handed over to their relatives for burial and police investigation is at the concluding stage, she said”.

The DSP further explained that the victims were allegedly adopted by the native doctors on April 12th to pressure their relatives to withdraw a case in court involving their boys. 

“yes, citizens have the right to belong to any religion but when it involves criminality and illegality, that will not be allowed. 

She in conclusion warned citizens to stay clear from illegal businesses using religion or any sort, the police will arrest anyone doing that even if the person is a native doctor, she said.
