The former Liverpool best midfielder Steven George Gerrard (MBE) has been appointed as the new manager for the premier league club “Aston Villa”.

The former Liverpool captain, leaves the Scottish champions having guided them to a first league title in 10 years last season.

Gerrard made a replacement to “Dean Smith” who was sacked on Sunday after a run of five successive defeats.

Gerrard who is considered to be one of the most outstanding and best midfielder during his time with his magic style of scoring goals.

Aston villa is in no doubt made the right choice by taking their time to pick the best, the father of four and former Rangers FC manager Steven George Gerrard had been confirmed Aston Villa new manager.

The 41-year-old was announced on a three-and-a-half year deal at a crucial time in the season with a Premier Sports Cup semi-final and important league and Europa League matches coming up.

He will be in the dug-out at Villa Park for their clash against Brighton on November 20 which comes just 24 hours before the Light Blues face Hibs at Hampden.

There was a feeling among the fans that their journey together still had more to come but when they reflect then the fact he led them to that much-coveted 55th league title will always seem regarded as a legend.

Meanwhile, the Sporting Director, Ross Wilson, also added by congratulating the former rangers manager “Firstly I want to say thank you to Steven for the work, dedication and professionalism with which he has diligently carried out the role of Rangers Manager.

“Steven and his backroom staff have ensured that the club is undoubtedly in a better place today than it was three-and-a-half years ago.

“I joined Steven on that journey just over two years ago and from the first day we met, I have enjoyed all aspects of our partnership.

“We have shared a desire to move Rangers forward, to modernise our infrastructure and to make the club win again. 

“There have been so many areas that we have moved forward, and there is still so much to be done, but I can’t stress enough how important it has been to have with us a first team manager who shared a drive and desire to set standards and move the whole football operation forward.

“I know how much it meant to Steven that our 55th league championship was achieved last season, and alongside an excellent European record across his tenure, we have had some truly memorable days and nights. 

“Personally, I am proud of the work that we have done together along with all of the players and staff, and I know Steven shares that pride. We wish Steven nothing but success for his next chapter,” he said.
