A girl confirmed dead inside a hotel room with 12 used protective condoms in Enonyi State~details below
Ebonyi State is known to be peaceful and calm but the current occurrences in the state a girl in her twenties identified as Ugochi Nworie, has been confirmed dead in a hotel room located on Mgbowe Street, Abakaliki, the capital city of Ebonyi State.
According to Neighbours alleged that some group of young men had taken the lady to lodge in the hotel on Monday night and left unnoticed, only for her lifeless body to be discovered the next day.The victim was suspected to be tipsy when she arrived at the hotel.
Confirming the incident, Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Loveth Odah, says preliminary investigations reveal that the deceased was ganged raped to death, as about 12 used condoms were found in the room.
DSP Odah has advised parents and guidance to watch the movement of their children while she described Ugochi’s death as uncalled for and warning to other young girls who make friends and keep secret from their parents and siblings.
She stressed that, indeed parents need to work hard to keep their children safe from the wicked world, saying that the case of Uhochi is not new several similar incident has occurred.
She said that parents has a long way to go by keeping an eye on their children and monitor the kind of friends they associate themselves with and also prohibit them from keeping late nights or attending late night parties
