JAMB Confirms No Increase in 2024 UTME Registration Fee Amidst Production Cost Surge

SHARE

JAMB affirmed that the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration fee in 2024 remains at N3,500 despite increased production costs.

The Board emphasized its commitment to keeping costs low for candidates and debunked rumours of a fee hike.

JAMB clarified that the application fee has stayed consistent since its reduction from N5,000 in 2018, ensuring candidates are not financially burdened amid economic challenges.

JAMB will provide free English reading texts through various channels to further alleviate expenses. The perceived fee increment is attributed to the Board’s cashless policy, consolidating all payable fees to prevent exploitation at CBT centres.

Candidates must pay N700 for registration, N1500 for examination fees, and N1500 for the optional Mock-UTME at privately owned centres.

Notably, the UTME/DE e-PIN remains at N3500, with the registration fee now collected by the Board along with other associated costs, streamlining the payment process.
