Kano State Students Disavow Involvement in Protests Following Governor Sacking

SHARE

In a statement led by Comrade Yahaya Usman Kabo, the Kano state students at home and in the diaspora clarified their stance on recent events regarding the court judgment sacking Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

They emphasized that they were not involved in any protests regarding the judgment. They expressed their non-alignment with any party involved in the suit and distanced themselves from supporting Governor Yusuf due to grievances over alleged illegal demolitions of their parents’ properties.

The students disassociated themselves from activities by NNPP Kwankwasiyya Protest, condemning these actions as attempts to disrupt the state’s peaceful atmosphere and tarnish its image.

They appreciated Kano’s students’ law-abiding nature and applauded the judiciary for upholding justice in the 2023 Election Petitions, instilling hope for a better Nigeria.
