The Coalition of Concerned Political Parties has been refused membership in the New Nigeria People’s Party by its National Working Committee.

In an Abuja statement, the NNPP revealed through Mr. Abba Ali, the organization’s acting national chairman.

The party’s leadership would like to clarify unequivocally that no coalition is being formed between the NNPP and other political parties, despite allegations in the media to the contrary.

According to news released on Friday, December 8, 2023, the PDP, our fabulous party, the NNPP, and a few other political parties have joined forces. He said, “The NNPP is using this medium to reiterate that the report is false and very far from the truth in all its material substance.”

According to Ali, no party official has spoken with any political party—individually or collectively—about the possibility of building a coalition as soon as possible since the general elections of 2023.

He pleaded with the people of Nigeria and the world to ignore any reports that the NNPP was forming a coalition with any political party or parties.

According to The PUNCH, seven opposition political groups united on Wednesday to establish a new alliance to bolster the nation’s democracy.

The People’s Democratic Party, African Democratic Congress, Social Democratic Party, Young Progressives Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, People’s Allied Movement, and Zenith Labour Party were the members of the coalition.
