Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Limited (STASCO) has supplied one million barrels of Agbami crude grade to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Plant.

One million barrels from Agbami were purportedly in the STASCO shipment, which sailed to the Single Point Mooring (SPM) of the Dangote facility, where it was dumped into the crude oil tanks of the facility.

The first 1 million barrels, or the first part of the 6 million barrels of crude oil provided to Dangote Petroleum Refinery by various suppliers, should support the facility’s initial processing needs of 350,000 barrels daily. The NNPC will supply the following four cargoes in two to three weeks, while ExxonMobil will give the last six cargoes.

Aliko Dangote, president of the Dangote Group, expressed his excitement about the development by saying, “We are delighted to have reached this significant milestone.” This is a significant accomplishment for our nation since it shows that we are capable of planning and completing major capital projects.

During the upcoming months, we intend to operate the refinery fully. I eagerly anticipate the next significant milestone as we ship the first batch of goods to the Nigerian market.

In response to the business magnate’s statement, Osagie Okunbor, the Country Chairman of Shell Companies in Nigeria, stated: “We are pleased to be supporting the launch of a refinery that is intended to produce petrol, diesel and low-sulfur fuels for Nigeria and throughout West Africa.”
