Zlatan Ibile Credits Olamide for Career Breakthrough

Nigerian singer and rapper, Zlatan Ibile, revealed in a recent interview that his career took a significant turn with the 2017 collaborative track ‘My Body’ featuring Olamide.

Speaking to YouTuber Korty EO, Zlatan shared how the verse from the YBNL boss became a pivotal moment in his journey.

Recalling the persistence it took to secure Olamide’s collaboration, Zlatan said, “Olamide giving me a verse at that time was life-changing for me. I was always tracking him and begging him in the DM for a verse.”

Despite initial disappointments, Zlatan’s determination paid off when Olamide invited him to his house.

Expecting a rap collaboration, Zlatan was surprised when Olamide suggested an Afrobeats song, ‘My Body,’ recognizing its potential to make Zlatan an instant star. Zlatan recorded his verse, marking a turning point in his career, stating, “That was how my story changed.”
