Governor Makinde Commends Security Response and Recovery Efforts in Bodija Incident

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State praises security agencies for ensuring law and order in Bodija. A medical team visited hospitals, and more than 90% of people were discharged; the death toll stood at five. Victim counselling is undertaken, and operations at the explosion site change from search and rescue to recovery.

Structural tests were performed on 230 houses with assistance from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency. Security authorities are investigating the event, and the government has pledged to assist victims and ensure accountability.
