Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu has announced the establishment of an electronic Geographic Information System (e-GIS) in Lagos State, representing a big step forward in land documentation and purchase.
The e-GIS site enables digitised access to extensive land data, expediting land acquisition, documentation, and verification processes. This digital platform reduces the need for manual paperwork, intermediaries, and associated fees by allowing users to check, search, and apply for land titles online.
The system organises historical land records from the nineteenth century, resulting in a more efficient and transparent land transaction procedure.
