Tinubu Urges EFCC to Keep Fighting Internet Fraud

President Tinubu, represented by Vice President Shettima, urged EFCC to combat internet crimes and corruption at an Abuja event. He stressed the importance of EFCC’s role in fighting cybercrimes, noting their global impact.

Attorney General Fagbemi encouraged EFCC to prioritize preventive measures alongside investigation and prosecution. He highlighted the cost-effectiveness and importance of prevention in combating financial crimes.

The event marked the relaunch of EFCC’s Interfaith Manuals and Fraud Risk Assessment Project for MDAs. It aimed to engage stakeholders in the fight against corruption and promote collaboration across different sectors.

President Tinubu expressed concern about the unfair portrayal of Nigeria as a nation of fraudsters due to internet crimes. He assured EFCC of government support in addressing this issue.
