The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is scheduled to charge former Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for allegedly diverting more than N10 billion between 2011 and 2019.

Ahmed was invited for questioning and voluntarily went to the EFCC’s Ilorin office. This is the third time he has been questioned about the case.

The inquiry, which has been going on since 2019, is centred on claims of money laundering, misappropriation, and diversion.

According to Ahmed’s spokeswoman, his visit to the EFCC was regular and he is always happy to answer questions on his governorship.
