Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu Launches N750m Market Trader Scheme, Empowering 15,000 Small Businesses

Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu of Lagos State has launched the “Lagos Market Trader Money” scheme, allocating N750 million to support 15,000 small-scale traders with N50,000 each.

The beneficiaries, drawn from across Nigeria, are all residents of Lagos. This initiative, part of the administration’s THEMES+ agenda, aims to boost economic activities in food markets by empowering traders to expand their businesses.

Notably, 75% of the beneficiaries are women, highlighting the initiative’s commitment to social inclusiveness.
