Governor Seyi Makinde SAfER Initiative: N500M Loans Boost Small Business Growth in Oyo State

Governor Seyi Makinde has given small business owners N500 million as part of the Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) plan.

Governor Seyi Makinde offered this assistance to minimise the effects of the elimination of petrol subsidies.

The loans, administered through seven microfinance institutions, are intended to support small companies throughout the state.

Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Chairman of the SAfER Committee, emphasised the importance of assisting small businesses in driving economic growth, as well as the integrity of the beneficiary selection process.
