Haaland Strike Seals 1-0 Victory Over Brentford

Manchester City secured a hard fought 1-0 win over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night, a result that takes them one point behind Liverpool as they close the gap on the scousers at the top of the Premier League table.

The match was Manchester City’s outstanding match which was rescheduled due to City’s participation in the Club World Cup.

Erling Haaland Haaland scored the decisive goal of the game in the 71st minute, making it goal number 17 in the Premier League this season for the Norwegian goal machine.

The game was close with each team having their chances to clinch all 3 points.

Phil Foden missing a chance to double the the lead for the Citizens while Brentford’s best chance of the game came early on, forcing Ederson to make a crucial save.

The win helps maintain a tight race for the title with Liverpool top of the league with 57 points, City on 56 and Arsenal on 55 points in 3rd place as we enter a crucial part of what is starting to look like a 3-horse race for the EPL title.
