Ivory Coast Clinches Third AFCON Title with 2-1 Victory Over Nigeria in Final

In the Africa Cup of Nations final at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ivory Coast won 2-1 against Nigeria. This was the 34th edition of the tournament. Nigeria’s Super Eagles wanted their fourth AFCON title, while Ivory Coast aimed for their third, previously winning in 1992 and 2015. Despite Equatorial Guinea leading Group A, both Nigeria and Ivory Coast advanced to the final.

Sebastien Haller scored the winning goal for Ivory Coast. The match had fouls, substitutions, and missed chances. Nigeria’s Zaidu and Ola Aina got yellow cards for fouls, and so did Ivory Coast’s Franck Kessie and Serge Aurier. The game showed fierce play, with both teams showing skill and determination. Ivory Coast emerged as champions, celebrating their victory on home turf.
