Police Arrest Suspected Fraudster for Rice Scam in Enugu

Police in Enugu have arrested a 45-year-old man, Nnamani Joseph, for an attempted rice scam.

Joseph allegedly pretended to buy 18 bags of rice worth N400,000 for charity at a church. He convinced a businessman to supply the rice, promising payment through a bank transfer.

However, he disappeared after the businessman followed him to the bank. The police later apprehended Joseph, recovering eight bags of rice. He will face legal action after investigations.
