Senate President’s Spokesperson Clarifies Statement on Governors’ Funds

Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s spokesperson, Eseme Eyiboh, clarified that his principal’s statement about Governors receiving N30 billion from the Federal Government was misunderstood.

Eyiboh explained that the aim of the statement was to encourage state governments to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu to address the economic challenges in the country.

He emphasized that the Senate President values the partnership between the Federal Government and state governments in addressing economic issues and legislative engagements.

Eyiboh urged state governments not to be distracted by any misunderstanding of the statement and invited them to work together to improve the current economic situation.
