Super Eagles Honored with National Award and Land Grants After AFCON 2023 Triumph

President Bola Tinubu honored the Super Eagles with the national Order of the Niger (MON) and the Federal Government granted each team member a plot of land and a flat for their performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Despite finishing second, Tinubu commended the team for their unity-building efforts and encouraged them to maintain their spirit.

Troost Ekong, the team’s assistant captain and AFCON 2023 Most Valuable Player, thanked Tinubu and expressed a desire for a trophy instead of silver medals.
