Former Football Star Robinho Receives Nine-Year Jail Sentence for Gang Rape

Former Brazilian footballer Robinho has been given a nine-year jail term in Brazil for a crime in Italy. He was found guilty of being involved in a gang rape in a nightclub.

Robinho says he’s innocent and has been living in Brazil. Italian authorities wanted him back, and now Brazil has decided to lock him up. Robinho plans to appeal.

He’ll be arrested in Santos, Brazil. Despite admitting he was with the woman, he says it was consensual. Robinho’s phone calls were used as evidence. He used to play for Santos, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and AC Milan, and also represented Brazil.
