Frank Lebouef, a former Chelsea defender, criticised Cristiano Ronaldo for comparing the French Ligue 1 to the Saudi Pro League (SPL), claiming that Ronaldo’s statement was unjust.
Lebouef speculated that Ronaldo made the comparison because his rival Lionel Messi competed in Ligue 1. He encouraged Ronaldo to desist from making such remarks, claiming that they disrespected Ligue 1.
