Idris Elba intends to develop Sherbro Island, off the coast of Sierra Leone, into an environmentally friendly’smart city’ that combines sustainability, community, and economic progress.

The project, led by Sherbro Alliance Partners (SAP), seeks to safeguard the island’s fragile nature while still promoting growth.

Elba’s strategy encompasses green energy efforts, infrastructure upgrades, and economic prospects.

Despite the lack of a specific budget and schedule, collaborations with companies such as Octopus Energy and Lloyds show progress towards achieving this ambitious goal.
