Jeff Bezos Surpasses Bernard Arnault as World’s Richest Person
On Thursday, March 21, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, became the world’s richest person, surpassing Bernard Arnault.
Bezos has a net worth of $201 billion, up from $199 billion the previous day. His wealth comes from Amazon, as well as investments in media and streaming. Arnault, owner of Louis Vuitton and Moët Hennessy, dropped to second place with a net worth of $199 billion.
Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and X, follows closely in third place with $189 billion. Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates round out the top five richest people with $179 billion and $153 billion, respectively.
