Lagos State Leads Africa in Sustainable Development: Adopts ISSB Standards

Lagos State, led by Emmanuel Faber and the International Sustainability requirements Board (ISSB), has committed to adopting ISSB sustainability reporting requirements, which is a big step forward for Africa’s sustainable development and financial transparency.

Lagos aims to set a good example by collaborating with local and international partners such as the African Development Bank (AfDB), Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), and African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA), with support from the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) and Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) to promote responsible governance and sustainability.
