NCC Restores Voice and Data Services Following Cable Cuts in West Africa
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) announced the restoration of voice and data services impacted by cable cuts along the beaches of Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal.
Approximately 90% of peak utilisation capacities have been restored, with operators using recovered capacity from unaffected underwater cables.
Mobile network operators (MNOs) have confirmed that data and voice services would continue to operate normally till the repairs are complete.
The NCC extended gratitude to customers for their patience and understanding during the outage.
