Oyo State health personnel go on strike over unmet demands.

Oyo State health workers, represented by the Nigerian Union of Allied Health workers (NUAHP), have begun a seven-day warning strike in response to the state government’s refusal to meet their demands.

The practitioners, who represent several health fields, want to see hazard and teaching allowances implemented, wage tables adjusted, facilities revamped, promotion letters sent, and other enhancements.

The walkout, proclaimed by NUAHP unit chairman Olanrewaju Ajani, emphasises the need for government intervention to address the problems, with a threat of an indefinite strike if the difficulties persist.
