President Tinubu Approves New Leadership for FCT Civil Service Commission

President Bola Tinubu has allowed the appointment of a Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries, and others for the FCT Civil Service Commission.

The news came from Anthony Ogunleye, Chief Press Secretary to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday.

In October 2023, Wike got approval from the President to start the Civil Service Commission of the Federal Capital Territory.

During a meeting on March 4, 2024, Wike said the commission would pick nine permanent secretaries to run the secretariats.

Ogunleye said the President approved a Chairman, six Commissioners of the CSC, the Head of Service, and nine Permanent Secretaries.

The appointments include Emeka Ezeh as Chairman, Commissioners Ahmed Mohammed, Anthony Okeah, Mohammed Magaji Ibrahim, Miskoom Alexander Naantuam, Jide Jimoh, and Martin Azubike.

To strengthen the FCT Administration, the President also approved the appointment of the Head of the Civil Service and Permanent Secretaries in the FCT Civil Service.

Atang Udo Samuel is the Head of the Civil Service, with 10 others as Permanent Secretaries.

The appointments start now, and the new officials will be sworn in on Monday, March 18, 2024.

The President also approved the appointments of heads of important agencies of the FCTA.
