Researchers at UCL conducted a study with over 5,000 participants to assess the effectiveness of the Drink Less app in reducing alcohol consumption.

Users can use the app to create objectives, track their drinking habits, and evaluate their mood and sleep quality.

Participants who used the app reduced their alcohol use by an average of two units per week, compared to those who got normal NHS advice.

Women benefited more from the app, reducing their alcohol consumption by an additional 2.5 units per week.

The app’s efficacy indicates its potential for averting health problems and lowering healthcare expenses.
