Amidst criticism faced by the Royal Family over a photoshopped image of Kate Middleton and her children shared on Mother’s Day, Adobe, the parent company of Photoshop, saw a rise in its stock price.

Sky News reported that the photo was edited using Adobe Photoshop twice, and was taken on a Canon 5D mark IV at Adelaide Cottage.

Despite calls for the original photo to be released, Kensington Palace refused, causing further scrutiny and damaging the public’s trust in the royal family. After Kate Middleton admitted to the editing, Adobe’s stock price increased from $551.69 to $560.42.

It was also revealed that Kate has a subscription to Adobe’s Creative Cloud, which boosted the company’s market cap by $3 billion.

However, questions still linger about why the photo was altered and discrepancies in the Palace’s statements regarding its timing and Kate’s recovery from surgery.
