The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has turned over documentation for 324 properties to Kano State retirees in response to a court ruling.

The houses were seized as part of an investigation into an N4.1 billion fraud involving the theft of pension funds.

Pensioners had donated to the Pension Trust Fund in order to buy homes, but previous administrations had rejected them.

Two past governors allegedly sold the homes to their buddies. The EFCC intervened, investigated, and obtained a final forfeiture order, which returned the properties to the pension fund trustees.
