Bobrisky, a controversial cross-dresser, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos for allegedly abusing naira notes, spraying money, and mutilating currency.

The EFCC spokeswoman confirmed Bobrisky’s detention, saying that the investigation is ongoing and that he will be charged in court.

Despite requests for his arrest for his transgender lifestyle, Nigerian police have stressed that cross-dressing is not a criminal offence under Nigerian laws.
