Today, Bisola Badmus, a popular Yoruba Nollywood actress, disclosed via her official Instagram account @officialbisolabadmus that she has been suffering from Encephalopathy, a brain disease.

She posted a video of herself, thanking God for another birthday, and revealed that she has been battling with Encephalopathy for over a year—a disease she wouldn’t wish on her worst enemy.

She explained how this disease has been a tough battle for her and has also kept her away from social media.

She added that she lost her precious mother while grappling with the disease.

She concluded by expressing gratitude to family members, friends, colleagues in the movie industry, and loved ones for standing by her.

She stated, “I will be an ungrateful soul if I fail to appreciate my family and friends, colleagues in the industry, business associates, and the brands I represent for standing by me during this challenging period. My colleagues in the movie industry and business associates, the brands I represent, thank you all once.”
