Lagos Unveils New Food Agro-Hub to Transform Distribution
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, introduced a groundbreaking mid-level food agro-hub in Idi-Oro, Mushin, on Sunday.
Jubril Gawat, the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, shared the news through tweets on his X handle. According to Gawat, this agro-hub launch marks a pivotal shift in Lagos’ food distribution strategy, aiming to address challenges related to post-harvest losses, inflation, carbon footprint, and traffic congestion.
Spanning 6400 square meters, the agro-hub provides ample parking space (3,017 sqm) for trailers and vehicles. It features centralized wet and dry storage areas for bulk purchasing.
Governor Sanwo-Olu announced plans for replication, with three additional agro-hubs slated for AJAH, AGEGE, and ABULE ADO to enhance food distribution efficiency across the state.
