“Traffic Management Directive: Lagos State Government Orders Street Gates in Lekki to Remain Open During Festive Season”

The Lagos State Government has requested that street gates in Lekki Phase I, Phase II, and surrounding areas remain open from 6 am to 11 pm during the festive season.

In a press release by the Commissioner of Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the government emphasized the need for this order to facilitate smooth traffic flow and reduce congestion in the area due to holiday activities.

The statement emphasized, “All street gates in Lekki Phase I, Phase II, and environs should be open from 6 am to 11 pm daily during the yuletide season to ensure seamless vehicular movement and alleviate potential traffic jams.”

The government also stressed the importance of strict compliance with the directive, warning that any violation would result in sanctions. Furthermore, it assured residents that security measures were being implemented for their safety during this period.
