Iyabo Ojo explains her support for Lizzy Anjorin’s senior wife and opens up about the feud with her colleague

Iyabo Ojo, the actress, clarified that her support for Folashade Olalude, the estranged wife of Lizzy Anjorin’s husband Adegboyega Lawal, is not driven by animosity towards Lizzy. In an interview with Tofarati Ige published on Saturday, January 20, the 46-year-old stated that she supports Folashade due to the “injustice going on,” emphasizing it’s not a move against Lizzy.

Addressing the origin of her conflict with Lizzy, Iyabo Ojo explained that their first issue occurred years ago at an event organized by Sikirat Sindodo. She mentioned an incident where Lizzy hit her, leading to a misunderstanding. Despite the past conflicts, Iyabo emphasized that the recent support for Folashade is unrelated to their history.

Reflecting on the history of their disagreements, Iyabo recounted a time when Lizzy insulted her and her family on a TV show. Elders in the industry intervened, urging reconciliation. Lizzy apologized, and Iyabo eventually accepted her apology, even featuring in one of Lizzy’s movies. However, she highlighted that Lizzy never paid her for that role.

Further detailing their history, Iyabo mentioned an Instagram blockage by Lizzy over issues with a UK-based blogger. Iyabo clarified that she continued commenting on the blogger’s posts, leading to the Instagram block. Despite these past conflicts, Iyabo stressed that her current support for Folashade stems from the realization that Lizzy was insulting her due to their connection.

In response to the ongoing issue, Iyabo Ojo took proactive steps, hosting Folashade at her lounge, posting her account number for support, and providing a shop for her business. Understanding Folashade’s struggles as a single mother, Iyabo expressed her commitment to supporting Folashade as her goddaughter.
