Minister of State for Labour and Employment Nkeiruka Onyejeocha has called on the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) for cooperation to ensure uninterrupted academic sessions. She emphasised the importance of mutual understanding and proactive problem-solving during a discussion with ASUU’s leadership to avoid reoccurring disagreements interrupting the academic schedule.

Onyejeocha encouraged ASUU to have an open conversation and transparency, urging them to align their demands with current economic restrictions while re-evaluating previous agreements for pragmatic solutions. Her request centred on increasing cooperation between the government and ASUU to create a more stable educational landscape in 2024.
