The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, expressed concern over the increasing Naira to Dollar exchange rate, urging Nigerians to seek divine intervention as many are facing hardship.

During the February Thanksgiving Service themed “Let The Wind Blow” at the Throne of Grace Parish, RCCG Headquarters, in Ebute Meta, Lagos on Sunday, February 4, he emphasized the need for prayer and reliance on God in light of the economic challenges.

He said…..

“At the start of the year, we were warned that things might worsen before they improve. If we compare the value of the Naira to the Dollar now with what it was on January 1st, it’s evident that the prediction is unfolding.”

“We need to pray fervently because we don’t know how much worse things could get before they start to improve. Let’s beseech God for His mercy and swift intervention.”

“Regardless of fluctuations in currency exchange rates, those in positions of power remain unaffected. Leaders don’t concern themselves with the price of everyday essentials like petrol or bread, as these are readily available to them.”

“It’s the ordinary citizens, like you and me, who feel the impact of these changes firsthand. We’re the ones who notice the rising cost of goods and services, as we’re the ones who have to purchase them.”

“I’ve always maintained that I am a pastor, not a prophet. The winds of change were predicted at the beginning of the year, and indeed, they are already blowing. Despite our efforts, there’s little we can do to halt their force.”
