 Following the corruption charges levied on former South Africa president ‘Jacob Zuma’  who has been confirmed to appear in court for his trial over the on going case against state capture. 

Jacob Zuma had been arraigned for corruption charges following the allegation during his administration where he pave way for the wealthy Gupta family to truncated with the country’s resources. 

According to report former President Zuma and the Gupta family mismanaged States resources and try to establish his political nepotism and influence his cabinet appointments but he denied the allegation. 

President Cyril Ramaphosa is said to be due to appear in court on Wednesday before the country’s long-running corruption inquiry commence its procedure and is expected to testify in the corruption charges of the former president (Jacob Zuma) in the ongoing case. 

The corruption is estimated to have cost South Africa $81 billion in public funds and lost opportunities.

According to Professor Itumeleng the commission secretary said “on August 11 and 12, the president will first complete his evidence relating to the (ANC) in his capacity as the current president and former deputy president of the party, and thereafter give evidence and be questioned in his capacity as the current president and former deputy president of the country”

Ramaphosa is expected to give prove as the former Deputy President and also as the current leader of the ruling African National Congress (ANC).
