Abuja Rail Transit Nears Completion, Set for May Inauguration
The FCT Minister, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, said the Abuja Rail Mass Transit (ART) project is almost finished, about 97 percent done, and should be ready by May 29.
He mentioned that President Bola Tinubu has approved a plan to celebrate his first year in office with project inaugurations.
Wike is happy with the progress, saying it’s important for the economy. He praised the contractor, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation CCECC, for their work.
As for extending the rail lines to busy areas, they’re thinking about it but haven’t decided yet due to financial concerns.
