Deadly Attack: Gunmen Kill Scores in Kogi State Community
Gunmen, believed to be herdsmen, attacked the Agojeju-Odo community in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State, resulting in numerous deaths.
The armed men arrived early in the morning and started shooting at residents. More than 30 bodies, including men, women, and children, have been found so far, while local vigilantes are searching for missing individuals in the surrounding bush.
The State Police Command, through its spokesperson, SP William Aya, confirmed the attack and stated that the Commissioner of Police has dispatched tactical teams to the area.
An investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the attack and identify the culprits.
